On Sunday, January 17, 2010 a march commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Members from the KUNM Youth Radio Project attended this event and brought back what they experienced. In the process, Josh Horton conducted several interviews with members of the community. Also in attendance were Youth producer Dezbah Evans, Kamaria Umi, Kyle Farris and Briana Cristo.

An eating disorder is a mental illness that if not treated can be deadly. A person with an eating disorder goes through a period of time when disturbances in eating and exercising occur due to the distorted attitude towards their self-image and self-worth (Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research).

So, what is it to be a youth organizer? A group of people can make big changes. Change doesn’t have to be a tedious process as long as there are passionate people involved. You can make the change you want, and it can be fun.
