10.13.13 Spirituality and Social Justice, Pt. 3 – Shash Yázhí [Radio] – Generation Justice

This week we ran the third discussion in our series on social justice and spirituality. Generation Justice’s Lucia Martinez talks with activist and community organizer Shash Yazhi. He is the Health Impact Assessment Coordinator for the New Mexico Health Equity Partnership. Shash Yázhí has extensive background in community organizing, training, fundraising, facilitation, program development, and youth support. For the last 19 years he has worked as a community organizer on issues such as indigenous sovereignty and racial equity in schools. He has been at the forefront of advocating for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Queer, and Transgender equality and justice at a national level. The discussion focuses on balancing one’s life in every aspect – spiritually, personally, and in work.
