Center of Southwest Culture – 20th Anniversary – Message from Arturo Sandoval [Video] – Generation Justice

On November 11, 2011, the Center of Southwest Culture celebrated it’s 20th anniversary with a gathering at 516 Arts in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Friends, family, colleagues, and community members gathered with Center of Southwest Culture staff to look back on 20 years of service to our state. Generation Justice, a project of the Center of Southwest Culture, attended the event with a crew of 15 youth producers and staff to conduct interviews and capture video, audio, and stills of the event. In this interview, President and founder Arturo Sandoval talks to Youth Producer Jazlin Mendoza about the Center, it’s legacy, and his message to youth in our community.

The Center of Southwest Culture, Inc. was founded as a non-profit organization by President Arturo Sandoval to help develop healthy indigenous and Latino communities through economic development initiatives and educational and cultural work.
