My Dream – Generation Justice

My dream. It’s long ways away but I’ll get there one day. I know I will. It might be 100 steps away and I’m barely on my first, but someday I’ll reach that hundredth step. I might make it, I might not, as long s I tried my hardest.

I dream big. Sometimes I dream bigger than I live because if you have a thing called faith, anything is possible. You have to take your dream inch by inch, play by play till you’re there. I’m gonna fight for that inch, inch by inch because I know once I add all those inches up, I’ve reached my goal in life and that’s becoming an NBA player. In any fight, it’s the guy who’s willing to die who is gonna win that fight. That’s all it is.

If your dream is big, bigger than ever, you gotta try and keep trying to get there somehow. You have to figure something out. Even if that something is harder than life itself, you have to try and never quit trying because once you’ve figured that something out and you’ve reached your dream, you’ll be the happiest person alive. I’ll be that man one day and I’m gonna come back to this day and think how hard I’ve worked my whole life to get to this point, think of all the ups and downs I’ve been through, of who I would have been if I hadn’t tried. I’ll remember that this was a tough road that led to greatness.

The chances of me making it to the NBA might be 7 out of 540,000 but I’ll always be relentless. I’m gonna make “never meant to happen” happen. I will be one of the 7 that makes it. I’m going to be one of the greatest basketball players in the league I know because I believe in myself and I have the courage, determination, dedication, and the competitive drive. I’m willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile because in the end, it will all be worth it.

I picture myself in my dream almost every day because dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow’s questions. I’m going confidently in the direction of my dream because I want to live the life I imagined. I’m gonna dream it, create it, and live it.

Being an NBA player has been my dream since I was a little kid. When I was just in 2nd grade, I saw a high school student shoot a 3 pointer and make it and I was amazed. So I tried to do the same thing. I tried and tried; then one day I made it and felt accomplished.

Being an NBA player is my goal in life but heaven is my goal in the end.

You can do anything you set your mind to. Never give up.

I want to thank Kamaria for making me write this blog because I wouldn’t have had written this if she hadn’t made me think of everything I have to go through just to get to my dream. When she made me look up the chances of me making it to the NBA and I found out it was 7 out of 540,000, I started to tear up a little but I thought again and said “I’m gonna give it all I got till I’m worth a whole lot.”

I’ll be coming back to this day when I’m famous, having all the scouts come see me. And the first person I’ll be thinking of is Kamaria because I’ve never thought about my career this much! But when that day comes, I’ll think: “I’ve made it.”
