Ramadan – Generation Justice

Ramadan is all about fasting so you would feel with the poor. You fast from sunrise to sunset. Ramadan happens once a year and for one month each year. It comes from the religion of Islam.

Poor people don’t have food everyday; food isn’t always there for them. Ramadan is a way we could actually feel what they feel like and what they go through everyday of their life. From my perspective, it’s kind of hard.

I have to fast while football season is in. I am in the sun during the heat of the day and I can just imagine how it is for the poor to live on the streets out in the sun dying of thirst and hunger.  Some people say “it’s so hard” and “how are you not hungry?” What I say is, “we want food; we don’t need it.”
